Dorothy Ige Campbell, Ph.D. Author, Speaker, Consultant
Dr. Campbell, Ph.D., is an alumnus of The Ohio State University. She has a wealth of experience from Indiana University Northwest (IUN), from her American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow's work at Loyola University, and Professional Speaker's Association accreditation in Chicago. Given her Chair/Professor of Communication and College Deanship leadership at IUN, Dr. Campbell has demonstrated versatility in working across a broad array of industries and service organizations.
Dr. Campbell hails from the small rural town of Parma, Missouri. She discovered her passion for communication and education as an undergraduate student. She remembers being stunned upon learning that someone could build a career from helping people communicate better. Upon receiving her Doctorate in Speech Education, she came to appreciate just how important it is in shaping individuals, relationships, and in determining the success and outcomes of business, education, and religious organizations.
Dr. Campbell has written dozens of articles and several books on Public Speaking (Kendall Hunt publisher), and on improving communication in various business, education, and religious/televangelist settings. As an author, speaker, consultant, former high school teacher and university professor/administrator at IUN--in the suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Campbell has been able to contribute to discourse as well as influence the careers of countless individuals and students in organizations such as: Bethlehem Steel; Denver Meat Packers Union; Lake County Libraries; Lever Brothers; Methodist Hospitals; Numerous Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, and Washington D.C. Universities, High Schools, and Churches; the Illinois Department of Human Services; and the Times Newspaper; to name a few.
